 It is also known as the Vampire fish and is a member of the dogtooth tetra family.  It is a predatory fish that is native to the Amazon River basin in South America. It can reach up to 1.17m (3.8 ft) in total length and 17.8 kg (39 lb) in weight (based on IGFA records).
