Discus

They are relatively large disc shaped cichlids. Depending upon the variety, they can reach up to about 6 -10" (15 – 25 cm) in length. They are the most laterally compressed (flattened) of all the cichlids. Within each species there is great variety in shading, patterning, and body types. Discus are native to the South American countries of Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, and Columbia and are found inhabiting the tributaries of the Amazon River within those countries. https://www.zazzle.com/discus_poster-228104118166606496
